• Why should I get my electrical personal protective equipment tested?
First and foremost, you should have your equipment tested for your safety! Electrical safety standards rank 4th on OSHA’s list of top ten most violated laws. Last year alone there were 432 work related deaths. Testing your equipment insures that it is safe to use in the field.

  • How does Elwood’s rotation program work?
It’s simple! Your company has two sets of equipment for your workers. We store one set here at our laboratory. When you are due for an exchange, we ship out your newly tested equipment from our laboratory leaving you time to gather expired equipment and send it to us with no gap in your compliance.
 
  • How do I measure for proper glove fitment?
For length: Measure from the tip of your middle finger to where the cuff should reach on your wrist or arm. For size: Wrap a tape measure around your palm at its widest point. This measurement in inches is the proper fitting glove size.
 
  • How do I determine what length leather protector I should be using?
The rubber glove should be longer than the protector by at least one inch multiplied by the glove’s class number, but not less than ˝” for class 00 and class 0 gloves.
