The use of leather protectors is recommended to increase the life of your rubber gloves.  Elwood's leather glove protectors are made from top grain cowhide or goat skin and are designed to fit over insulating gloves.  Leather protector gloves should always be used with rubber insulating gloves.  For your safety, leather protector gloves and rubber insulating gloves should be inspected at the same time.  When inspecting look for metal particles, imbedded wire, abrasive materials or any substance that could cause puncture, abrasion, contamination or deterioration.

Elwood's voltage tester is a safe and convenient instrument used for locating blown fuses.  It is also suited for determining to what extent metal covers or cases are energized.  Use it in place of the hazardous old-fashioned test lamps and secondary circuit volt meters.  Elwood also offers a custom made leather carrying case to protect our voltage testers.  Requires no batteries.  Measures voltage from 0-600 volts.  The tester will not explode if accidentally applied to a voltage as high as 4,800 volts.
Blanket clamps will simplify the lineman's task by providing a quick and easy way for them to attach blankets onto the utility pole without straps or ropes.

Arc flash protection is required when you are exposed to a potential arc flash and any time you're working on or with panels or switch stations.  Our suits meet and exceed NFPA 70E standard requirements and provide a much higher level of protection than FR clothing.
